The adjustment for the handbrake is by the rear tires. Its a circular click wheel. I don't remember if you turn it clockwise or counter to tighten. But you will need to remove the rear wheels to access it. Hope this helps.

If pulling up the brake handle a few times does not do it, then you can take the rear wheels off and adjust the star wheel. If you do a search, there have been a number of threads on how to adjust the e-brake. Me, I just take mine to the dealer and let them do it.

As far as warranty goes I have heard several people say they were able to get the dealer to do it. Be aware that some dealers are going to try to tell you "it's the parking brake handle assembly, and it has to be replaced". (At this point your meter should be fully pegged). As stated, the fix is removing the rear wheels, caliper and rotor and making the adjustment properly. I did mine quite a while back and it is still holding just fine. HTH
Just the wheels, its placed opposite the the rear calipers.
And if I remeber correctly you turn counter clock wise...you will see as your turn the wheel it will push the shoes out against the inside of the rotors....... I would started with 10 clicks to get mine tight again.
What part of Md are you in? If you want to take a ride to central Pa I can help you out. It really is easy do not pay the dealer to do this
