The 6 speed transmission with reverse is my own design, as is the entire chassis.
I have not started on the body yet, but if it turns out as good as my other cars:

This could be my best car yet.

I have a Camaro with Corvette wheels...

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
The old school Legos are a thing of the past for me now. No more bricks and studs, just pins and liftarms. The transmission actually works, Every upshift increases RPM's and when you throw it into reverse, the engine(Or drivietrain however you look at it) cranks the opposite way. Lego actually put 5 speeds in 2 of their cars before, but I took it to the next extreme and then switched it to match the shift pattern of the Corvette and then I eliminated those clunky blocks and went all studless.
I started on the body last night, mainly the front and rear wheel-wells. I should be done in a week or two.
I'd really like to do the interior in tan, but Lego doesn't make some of the parts that I need in that color for the seats, so I am still undecided for the color.
This is my tribute to America's Sports Car.
Meanwhile I'm still driving a poor man's Corvette
