Was at the local Vette club BBQ tonight. Mentioned that I was wanting to change from the Saddle interior to a black/yellow interior on my black 99 coupe. The response was "What? Do you now hard it is to find the Black w/Saddle interior?" My response was ""No not really, I figured it was fairly common."
So does anyone have the numbers for Black/Saddle production? By year? I'm curious now.
Well I have a new commemorative C5, it has the lemans blue exterior with a "Shale" interior. It's really just a lighter color saddle, although the seats and carpet are almost an off-white, I like that part. I never heard of changing the interior color, if thats possible at a reasonable price. Count me in! While I would want to leave the seats and carpet, I would want to change the entire dash, center console stuff, and upper door to all black. If anyone can tell me where you take a car to have that done in the DC area, if it is possible, then please let me know, or email me at ucla81@earthlink.net Thanks! Ken

Depends on what reasonable means.
I'm looking to either use the dye/paint to turn the bottoms of the door panels black or yellow, along with the knee bolster and glovebox. You can get the dunno-what-else-to-call-them kick panels ont eh sides that run along the sill for about 40 bucks, IIRC (Ecklers, IIRC again). The carpet to black is probably the most expensive part. Especially since I haven't seen any full carpet sets for sale for the C5.
For seats, I'm planning on going with a set from Vette Essentials. Black, yellow trim, and custom lettering. I've already got the black seat belts from a swap and airbag switch install I did.
MidAmerica has the plastic pieces for the seats, as well as the bolt covers down there as well in the various colors; pricing looked reasonable, as I recall. I figure the seats and carpet I'll do last as they are the most expensive.
