Default got tuned last week.

After months (about 9) of procrastinating I finally made it to a shop (closest is 2.5 hours away in Lousianna) to have my car dyno tuned with LS1edit.

I didn't really pick up any hp from the tune, but it made a world of difference in the car! I now have a 6800rpm fuel shutoff, my fans are useable now to keep me cool in the staging lanes/traffic, and best of all it idles like stock now (I was having problems with surging and stalling with the A/C on).

I have exactly 4 power adding mods:
Vararam w/k&n filter.
TPIS long tubes flowing through stock cats and H-pipe
Borla Stingers
Cam: 218/218 .558/.558 LSA:? suppoting spring and pushrod upgrade.

Non power adding mods:
NKG spark plugs
MSD 8.5 low ohm wires
Redline in the transmission/rearend

The rest of the car is bone stock '00 coupe.

I put down 361rwhp/349rwtq (SAE). Haven't had a chance to get to the track yet (it's an hour 45min away ) to see how it affects my times (which is what is really important).

Also, from my last dyno before the cam I picked up about 30rwhp and 15rwtq.

I'll get my dyno sheet up once I get it scanned if anybody wants to see it.

P.S. It's been a while since I have been to the forum. I like the new look and LOVE the fact that I can see the first few lines of the post when I hover the curser over it

I gotta get mine tuned after add the LT headers last year. I think I am running a little rich. Just don't want to spend the money right now.

The good thing is the tune is updateable for a year for any mods I do.

The bad thing is I swore off mods this year other than maintenance upgrades.

Yeah, I dyno'd about 329/334 or so.

My cam is really mild now that I have the car tuned well. They were poking fun of me at the shop. One guy said, "That's the quietest car I've seen in here in a while". Allan (the shop owner) asked me if I was SURE I had a cam in it after he got back from test driving it after the tune.

I want to put some LT headers on my car too. May have to consider the tune once I do that. I'll talk with the shop and see if they recommend it since mine is basically stock.
