Default Euro Light Conversion?

I am considering conversion to Euro H4 headlamps as well as the PIAA 1100X fogs, because I can't stand the blotchy, underpowered, DOT standard headlights. I would like to hear about these mods from those who have done either one. Are the PIAA 1100X fogs going to give me the night time illumination that I desire for the dark, curvy, mountain roads that I drive, making the Euro H4's unnecessary? I realize there is a legallity issue with the H4's, but believe the improvement offsets the risk.

I replaced SilverStars with H4's. Made a big improvement. Recently passed VA inspection with no problems.

I have the PIAA's and they are NOT fog lights. . Believe me, these things are bright. I don't remember the last time i have used my regular lamps.

Before doing both, I recommend just trying out the Euro upgrade kit (perhaps ours? best on the market - and best customer support - just ask our huge list of customers at z06vette.com) without doing the fogs - you may find you don't need the 1100x any longer.

Let me know if you have any questions. Ours is a fully plug and play kit that works just like stock (others may or may not) - including flash-to-pass and functional up and down doors and works with Twilight Sentinel as well.

If I had installed the H4 setup first I would not have bought the 1100X PiAA lights. The H4 with 90/130 is more light than you will ever need on the street. I don't ever use the PIAA driving lights now that I have the H4 setup.

Hey, we're happy to sell you both setups, but besides putting more money in our pockets and less in yours, I don't think it's a good value. We created our plug and play kit to be the best possible value. It's not even really a high profit item for us. I'd rather sell you stickers or plastic parts all day long! We just think it's something that everyone should consider, especially for safety.

I can vouch for the Euro/Silverstar combo, much better than stock

Brighter than the PIAA 1100x's? I don't know why you would need that. I have the BPP headlight setup with the PIAA's installed where the factory fog lights go. The PIAA's are so bright that I am constantly being brighted by oncoming traffic. It has come to the point where I use the BPP's only and turn on the PIAA's only if I'm pissed off at the car in front of me. And it's not because of alignment since the 2 setups are aligned perfectly. Go figure.
