Have you recently replaced something in your car? Eg the radio?

The B1001 code is an "option configuration error" code. It comes up when the computer finds a mismatch between an installed component and the VIN of the car.

There is a TSB for this, #01-09-41-010 . I can't find much info about it.

From my readings on this you need to have the computer reset with a scan tool. Either take it to the dealer, or pick one up (kinda pricey though).

Hope that helps,

I am just wondering if you reset the code after it first came up because the H at the end of the code indicates that is a history code. If it was a current code then there would be a C at the end.
example B1001 H C
