Well it's been alittle over two months since I got MY 2000 6spd Coupe. I have to say I love this car more everytime I see/drive it!!

This saturday I installed my first mod, a Z06 TI exhuast: Heres some pics (if I can get them to work) I detailed it last sunday and had it covered since

Now i need to find some more time to install my next mod/mods - The Full Z06 Suspension I have waitng in my garage (springs, swaybars, endlinks, 04 Shocks)

pics, but a big large. Honestly, try resizing to about 370 pixels (not trying to be a nit-pick). to the new addition.

Beast,

Had my Ti's installed last Thursday, and love 'em. One thing I noticed, and your second picture confirms this I think, is that the center tips on both sides sit just a tad higher than the outside ones. Is this what you see when actually looking at your car?

I was thinking that maybe I would try to adjust mine, but if yours ended up the same way, then I doubt that they can be "adjusted".

Either way, I love those big round tips over the stock ovals

Nice Car!

Roscoe,
I Do kind of see what you mean in the pics, But in person they are nearly perfectly alligned. How much of a hieght difference is there between you inner and out tips? I was very happy with the way they levelled out with just a bit of twisitng when tightening the bolts. It didnt take much effort at all to get them straight. The hardest part of the install was figuring out how to jack the car up high enough to get the stock exhuast out

I think they look 100x times better and really like the slightly meaner sound!! I'm sure you know what I mean.. Ditto on the Nice ride!

again sorry about the picture size..next time i'll get it worked out better

Looks good!

Just for your future reference, forum guidelines state that pics should be at most 450x300 pixels in size.

Mine are the same way. Just got my Z06 system installed a couple days ago. The difference between inner/outer tips is symmetrical from left to right, so I'm fine with it. I don't think it's something that could be corrected unless you could angle both the mufflers downward on the inside (which would make the pipes look crooked), or unless you "corrected" the outer tip's pipe by bending it (which has "bad idea" written all over it). I think it's normal.

Mine are very close. Only another Vette owner would notice. When I showed my wife she gave me one of those looks that I think we have all become very familiar with . I had mine installed, since I didn't have the equipment to get it high enough to get the exhaust over the axel. So that means that I can't try the "twisting" adjustment. Maybe when I bring it to have the oil changed I can talk someone into trying that. I can certainly live with them the way they are. I do know what you mean about the sound, it is exactly what I wanted

Smokey, I agree with you completely. I too had the "bending" idea for about 30 seconds I guess the Z06 mid-pipe must have an ever so slight rotation with respect to the Coupe mid-pipe. I know that they are different. When I get the car up in the air next (will not be at home), I may have whoever is working on it, if they won't let me do it, attempt to loosen to bolts and "twist" each section (as Beast did) as it is tightenend. But, I am fine with it the way it is as well.

Great upgrade for the $$$

How high did you have to jack the car up to get the exhaust in/out?
