Interior rearview mirror fix
Anyone know a fix for this problem on my 2000 Vert A4? Every time I hit a rough spot (RR tracks, etc.) the mirror drops down and has to be readjusted.

I have a 97, and rearview mirror seems to sag all the time and vibrates when I am idle. It will not stay in the position I put it in. It is like a 1/2 inch loose movement up and down.

my 97 did that too.
all you need to do is snug up the little allen wrench bolt.
now that I think about it, it may be a torx bit. I am at work so I cant tell you for sure.

The mirror adjusts on two ball sockets. One of them has become loose in one direction.
A simple fix is to grab the rod between the mirror and the window, and turn it in the window socket 90deg. Then, readjust your mirror
It should now be as tight as new...
