Found this thread and it's helped some, but I still need some advice. I hit a pretty large pot hole about a week ago. After the incident, a pretty severe vibration starts from about 30 mph to 45 mph. It seems to even out a bit after that, but in that range, it's nearly unbearable. The first shop I took it to, where I have the warranty, told me it was most likely a bad balance / alignment. So I took it to NTB and had them do the work. The vibration got slightly better, but it's still VERY noticeable. I figure if there was anything at all wrong with the tire the NTB folks would have loved to sell me a new one. They didn't say anything was wrong. I'm taking it back into my warranty shop tomorrow morning. Does anyone have any thoughts on what / if anything structurally be causing this? Something bent in the suspension? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Had the same problem at about 75 to 90. I figured air pressure so as I was checking them at the house I noticed that I had a stupid chunk of dirt (mud) laying on the inside of the wheel behind a spoke. And that was right after the tires were changed out. It was acting like a balance weight in the wrong place of course. Cleaned it out made sure I had 30 and havn't had the problem since. Clean them spotless all the time but things can squeek by.

Could be a buble or imperfection in the tire, or if the hole was big enough, maybe you bent the rim...Could also be as simple as you knocked off a balancing weight as well.
Good luck! Ron

Thanks guys. I just figured that if it were any issues with the wheel, tire or balancing the techs at NTB would have caught it. We shall see when I take it in tomorrow.

Make sure you have the same dimension tires on each side. Took a daily driver in for new tires. When I left that front end shook terribly when I hit a certain speed. Looked closely at the tires and the dim whit that put them on put different dimension tires on it. Oh sure they were both the same inch spec, but they were different sidewall sizes. Took it back and the manager about had a cow. Was more than willing to give me 4 new ones since the dim whit did the same thing on the rear. F-n morons out there!
