Default Ordered my first "Mod", should have it in 2 weeks

Well, it's not really a mod for the car, more like a mod for the garage. I ordered a 4 post garage lift from Eagle Equipment. The brand was recommended by other owners at a recent Corvette show in CT. Will certainly come in handy installing that aftermarket exhaust and CAGS eliminator.... I also plan on changing my own oil because I am not thrilled about leaving the car anywhere for changes. Since I live in the northeast, storage (out of harm's way) will allow me to also keep the beater car inside.

Can't believe how my life has changed. I used to work on my cars only out of neccessity, now I actually am looking forward to it.

Any help on locating the CAGS? Pictures would be wonderful because the material I got with the bypass is poor quality.

Hey, enjoy the lift and how are things in CT. I lived there for 50 something years before retiring to Western NC. I don't miss I-95, I-91 or I-84. Got some awesome roads here, mountains, twisties, switchbacks, and very few county sheriffs...

You have got to be pumped! Working on the car will be a breeze. It will definately come in handy when you put in the exhaust. I just put in a Corsa exhaust and lifting the rear 36 in. to take the stock system off (without cutting) wasn't fun. I would love to have a lift but my garage ceiling isn't high enough. Enjoy the lift!

I sure hope your garage has a ceiling height greater then 9 feet or a Coupe becomes a Convertible in a hurry!

Default 4 Post Lift Update

4 post lift is installed! Wasn't that difficult except for the drive on ramps which require 4 people to safely lift into place. Eagle provides an excellent assembly guide. Couldn't wait to lift the first car - my daughter's Honda (you didn't think I'd risk the brand new Vette on something I put together did you ?).

I can't lift a car to full height until I reset my garage door tracks higher and change over the garage door opener to a torsion wall mounted type. All that happens next week. I do have a ceiling height of more than 10 ft.

Until then I'll have to be happy with chest high glimpses of the underside of the Vette......

Default 4 Post Lift

I'm married and sold my better half on the lift idea strictly from a storage standpoint. See, she sometimes uses the "beater car" and is happy that it will be in the garage during the winter months (under the vette). No windows to be scraped in snowstorms etc. She really did not realize the "mod" opportunities the lift also provides....
