Default The Beast Is Back

I've FINALLY got my Z06 back It was gone for a very very long time while Agostino tore it apart and made it pretty much unusable There were delays here and there, and we all know how that goes but it's all ended well. Went from a pretty tough h/c car to a monster 422c.i death machine. Ls1/6 block, eagle rods, diamond pistons, callies crank etc...Comp 248/248 111lsa cam.

We haven't dynoed it yet because the Exedy Clutch needed to be broken in, but coming from when the car had in the nieghborhood of 450rwhp, it's a whole different level of power. I never even had a problem hooking the DR's in 1st gear on the old setup, now even 2nd gear is a spinfest. The power is totally overwhelming to even the DR's on the street(which I take as a good sign )

The cool thing is, it's not really tuned to perfection because we couldn't hit WOT til the clutch had a couple hundred miles and it still runs pretty good. Running on the current program, it's lumpy and all, but it idles right around a grand and after the PCM had some time to work itself out, somehow, the 90mm TPIS seems to not be making it bi-polar. The first day I had it it was a bit bonkers running up to 3k on idle here and there, but it's totally sorted itself out

The Exedy Clutch is sweet. This thing grabs right when you let it out. It was tough to get used to those first few start offs, but it's very very smooth and makes pretty much no noise.

I can't wait to get this thing to the track, but it's going to take A LOT of practice to learn how to drive this thing. The car just roars to one side when those wheels light up at speed. Definitely nothing quite like it. Once I get it dynoed and have some track times I'll let you all know how this Agostino car stacks up.

Thanks for the write up. Sounds sweet! What type of power are you expecting? Looking forward to your 1/4 times!

Sounds like a bullet-proof setup. Can't wait to here the #'s, must be pretty torquey to peel those tires. I here ya with the clutch, my Spec 3 makes the car feel totally different. It's like learning to drive a std all over again, but extremely fast. Have fun with it...keep us in the loop.
