But, this is a recall and a historically known problem, so don't accept letting them charge you anything. If this dealer wants to charge you, then talk to other dealers in the area. Some are much more reasonable than others. Or call GM Customer Service and complain to them. As I said earlier, this has been fixed on 98 model cars without charge.
