Key FOB keeps losing synch...

Key FOB keeps losing synch...
Starting on Sunday, my key fob just started losing synch ALL THE TIME.
Walk away for an hour and come back. Toast.
Park it for the night? Toast.
Last night I left it on the charger in the garage. Yep. Toast.
WTF? Anybody have any idea what's wrong? I still have the POS delco battery (I'm on my second in two years). Think that's it?
The battery in the fob is brand new.

When I took the fob apart from my other car I cleaned the contacts with a pencil eraser. I haven't had a problem with the Vette's fob as yet. But I'll lurk for some answers.

Ok, I'm officailly an idiot. Popped open the fob and looked at it. Turns out the battery wasn't all the way snapped into place.

Could be the car's battery, or it could be the receiver in the car. If your battery is good, then you may have to get the receiver checked.
