Hi Guys/Gals: I had good luck with this forum once before now to try again. Recently had my wife's 2003 C-5 (11,500 Miles) into shop for LOF. We found excessive cupping on the inside edges (appros. 4") of both front tires. (EOM Goodyears) She has sensors and is very fussy about tire pressure, etc. I want to head for selling dealer with warrenty complaint but need some support or advise from you Vette experts. These tires are very expensive and you cannot rotate, etc. Anybody got idea's or reports of unusual tire wear on your Vette's. I'm waiting to hear from anybody. Thanks for reading, Dave.
Same here. I took my 03 in for "bearing" noise, only to find the front tires were feathering on the inside and making the noise. The Service mgr told me Chevy will do warranty alignments (if the customer complains) up to 10K miles. Too bad I had 12.5K.
Get a good alignment, it will help the problem. Search this forum for alignment specs. Firestone offers a lifetime alignment for around $130. They will do the service 2-3 times a year with this service. Not all Firestones will accept it, but all the corporate owned stores will.
With the stock alignment, they all well have some cupping. If you think it's excessing have it checked to see if it's within spec.
OEM alignment specs are a little aggresive for straight road drivers, resulting in this being a common problem. I doubt that it will be seen as a warrantee issue.
