I have Corsa Indy's on my new C5 6 speed and absolutely love the idle sound. I only have 90 miles on the car, so I don't know what WOT sounds like. I also don't know what cruising above 55 MPH sounds like. There is no resonance at the speeds I have cruised at--they are quiet on the highway.
I am also trying to decide on an exhaust. I am between Corsa Touring and Borla Stingers. I won't a nice throaty sound with out being obnoxious or having annoying resonance.

So far I love 'em.
Corsa makes a good system. This is the first post I've ever seen though, that someone says they really like the Corsa sound at idle. Personally, It's not my favorite idle sound, though they sound good at WOT. I've got GHLs. Much deeper, and throatier, at idle and great WOT sound, also without resonance. Listen to each kind, in person, before you buy. That's what sold me. Go for a ride in each car also, if you can, before you purchase. Be sure before you lay down the cash. Many good ones out there...have fun picking out yours!

just changed from 2.73 to 3.42's and added Corsa Indy Tigershark catback system with x-pipe. Had listened to several systems and came back to this one as it suited me. Best, again, to try a "live" ride -its the only way. I have A4 coupe. Will go with headers now as well. I found that most were willing to let you "hear" there system. Around here, Detroit, there are many aftermarket exhausts systems - each suited to the owner's liking.
Be sure if you get the Corsa Indy;'s that you also get the X-Pipe. The exhaust sounds like hell without it.
Hey Glenn!
How's it going?
I don't have the x pipe on mine and I like it better! the x-pipe "mellows" the sound of the exhaust, and right now, I don't want to change the sound at all!
my advise would be to install the Indys without the x-pipe first and decide how you like the sound, you can always add the x-pipe later!
I also like the sound at Idle and I enjoy the popping sound upon deceleration too. However, I love the sound at WOT!!! I've had this exhaust for over a year now and I've taken several road trips with it, no resonance at all.
I can't tell you. I can tell you that I've been wondering about the same thing and I've found out two things here....Some people like Borla's, some like Magnaflows and some like Corsa's but ALL say you need the X-pipe to avoid resonance.

There is no x-pipe required to eliminate resonance on the Corsa Indys, because they have NO RESONANCE to begin with!

Yes, I do and ABSOLUTELY no resonance, so you won't have any problems with dates (or your wife)....I do however suggest running them with an X pipe.....at WOT they sound SIC (just be sure to put a towel on your seat to prevent any "juices" that your girlfriend might leave behind, IFYOUKNOWWHATIMEAN)......
We just installed the Corsa Pace Car Edition on our 2003 Coupe several weeks ago. I must say I am very impressed with the quietness during cruising. It almost disappears back there -- but when you downshift or accelerate the system really wakes up and brings a smile to your face. We didn't do the X-pipe yet. The response to this addition confuses me. Does the X-pipe quiet the idle and fury upon acceleration or expand upon it? Thanks for everyone's help. Tom
