Default Fuel Filter

I changed the fuel filter on my C5 today. After changing it, I drove around the block to make sure everything was okay. I push in the clutch and the engine dies. Does this several times. Then all of a sudden started working fine. I assume air got into the lines( I did depressurize it before I started). If air did get in there , how does it escape if it is a pressurized system? Car runs great now.

You must have gotten a bit of air in there. It gets pushed along by the fuel pump with the gas but a little won't do any harm. You'd overheat the fuel pump if you ran it dry for a while though as the gas is usually also the coolant in fuel pumps.

You're fine now.
