Great Lakes Trophy V1 mount.
I have used the Great Lakes Trophy Valentine 1 electrochromatic mirror mount for a year now. It is a great product! But after a year in the Arizona heat and my desire to keep it screwed down tight, the black plastic piece that mounts to the mirror broke where the bolt threads in.
So after ordering another one for my new vette, I contacted Ed at Great Lakes Trophy and explained to him the problem. After consulting with him as to what material I should re-make the plastic piece out of. We both agreed aluminium would work best. As it will not break or loose its threads after prolonged use and heat.
So, I went to my local machine shop and had a custom one made. Here are some pics of it(aluminium) with the plastic piece that comes with it(black).
BTW- I can get more if someone wants one.

Wait, it mounts to the mirror? I thought the model for the electrochromatic mirror glued to the windshield just below the mirror. Maybe that's why we couldn't get the dang thing to work for more than 3-5 days at a time no matter what kind of glue or epoxy we used.
