At least he's not whining about being picked on by the cops for driving a Vet.

You're going to need a good lawyer to keep your drivers license after that ticket. I hope you find one. Let us know how it goes in court...

Nah, he'll keep his license. When I was 18 I got a ticket for 81 in a 45 and only got a fine. Of course, that was in Louisiana, and 12 years ago, but I still can't imagine that they'd take his license away.

Also, there is merit to demonstrating an error on the ticket in court. It's amazing what you can get out of when you show that the cop was in error about in evaluating the violation. He may a need a lawyer to do so, which may cost more than its worth.

Ah well, it happens. It is tough to keep these cars at the speed limit. Look at the brightside, at least you were only caught speeding and didn't get caught racing. Then you would have lost your car, probably your license, and many more penalties. It's just not worth racing on the street anymore.

Good luck in court!

Its what the cop said. But he corrected himself. Officer friendly even wrote 44 on the ticket but corrected that also.

Believe it or not but two years ago an arsonist burned our court house down to destroy evidence for a pending case and just last week our local judge was caught with cocaine. Hopefully a little speeding ticket will be forgiven? Ha ha.

"see judge, the sign says 45" So I was doing 83 in a 45 not a 44...
