Problem with ignition on 97 c5

Problem with ignition on 97 c5
I posted this on the 'TECH' section and hopefully more people will give their opinions/suggestions here 
Ok, this just started yesterday morning after I got to work, basically I parked my car, put the shifter into parking, put the ebrake on, turn off the ignition and removed my key and the car starting beeping rapidly as if the lights were on and the 'security' light kept blinking and blinking and it still showed my mileage on DCI (spelling?) so I double checked that no lights were on and they weren't so frustrated I got out of the car and put my alarm and sure enough the beeping went away BUT my turn signal lights are still on?!?!!?
Please someone help me so I won't have to pay 50-100 bucks at a electronic place to get this figure out!
In other words, my car thinks I still have the key in the ignition and I can't turn off the lights at all even when I lock my doors and put my alarm on.
