Default Rearview mirror lightbulb replacement

I have a quick question...

How do u replace the lightbulbs in the rearview mirror that illuminate the interior of the car.... I see the lenses but do they just pop out??? I dont want to try to force them out and break one by accident.

Any help would be appreciate
Thanks
Brian

Brian - According to your profile, your car is an '02. If that's true, the mirror doesn't have individual lamps, it has a series of l.e.d.'s that to the best of my knowledge, can't be replaced. If your car is an '02 and still under warranty - you might be facing (key the dramatic music.....)A TRIP TO THE DEALER! Oh no - say it isn't true! :ack :ack :*****

Oh yeah - almost forgot...Welcome to the Forum!

Default mirror lights

I really dont know know bc they have never worked since i have owned the car.. The little yellow light that illuminates the gear shift area works but the two clear lense lights do not work... I did manage to get bulbs for it but that really doesnt mean they belong to the car someone could have made a mistake... Ohhh no i really need help now...

The car is already getting warranty work for a messed up headlight motor and a fuel gauge that goes form 1/4 to empty in one second.

Thanks

If neither light works, then it's not neccessarily the lamps - could be a fuse....have you checked them all? Do the other courtesy lamps work? And, as I said - from 2001 on, the cars with the electrochromatic mirrors don't use bulbs, they are l.e.d.'s. If the car is already in the dealer, have them take a look....just my humble opinion!
