Default Modaholics Meeting

It's time for our Wednesday Night Modaholics Meeting.

[gavel bang x3]

Hello,

I'm Michael and I'm a modaholic. It's been over a month since I've modded. But I'm getting weeker by the day and I just know I'll be modding again within the next month.

This time, I can tell, it's going to be a binge mod situation. Please wish me luck.

Thanx for listening.

Now, let's welcome our next member.

I'm Jim and definitely Mod-challenged.

But I got a fix today as my favorite UPS truck came with my Z06 rear duct scoop package in a huge box from WCC. Now to get them installed!!

Two deliveries this week so far. I'll be back in the catalogs this weekend.

I just checked your profile and you've got a High Performance Hood Seal on your car.

You can try, but you can't fool a modder about this addiction.

To make matters even worse, i won a trophy 2 weeks ago and it talks to me at Night. It was a second place trophy, but it tells me if i had just spent a few more dollars i coulda been first. But, Honestly, I can stop any time i want....Really....I Can...Really :*****

'Ya know, I don't really need to be here, but I came just to make my wife happy. You see, unlike you "Mod-Freaks" I can control myself.
Why, just today while I was in the forum for just under 2 hours and left the mower running (I knew it would stop when it ran out of gas), I decided that I'd wait until I saw another forum member do a survey about which mod was the most popular before I ordered anything.
See - isn't that control?? Huh!!?
And besides, I have to wait for a month or so because I forget which credit card I used to order my last "gotta'-haves" and I'm not sure what I'll have to not pay - food, electricity, or mortgage.
But, hey! I'm glad to see you guys have seen the error of your ways.
Do you think maybe you'd like to sell some of that stuff?? Anybody??
I'm glad to help - honest!!

Hi - Ed here - and I am a modaholic. I am torn between purchasing a new cam for my '04 vert with a 112 LSA and lots of EPA choking overlap or purchasing the illegal in CA LG Long Tube headers and leaving the cam alone. It's been 30 days since the Girlie Men UPS drivers have delivered any packages on my front door. Ok, that's it for now. Come back, ya hear? We'll leave the porch light on for ya!

I'm not a modaholic. I can quit any time I want! :*****

I just need time to install everything that's sitting in my garage. I've still got rocker rollers and rails, aluminum gauge bezels and I got some new Alpine speakers today to hold me over until I replace the whole system. I also think I'm gonna order some Sportbrakes rotors and ceramic pads since I liked them so much on my previous Vette. I'm having too much fun to quit!

Michael - Did you ever order that carbon fiber exhaust plate? I bought it from CAU and it looks great!

I'm going to run the LG LT Header - No Cat program for a bit this fall and THEN decide on the cat-back issue. If the GHLs do the trick for me, I'll buy the CF plate to finish off the look as outlined in my old thread (little yellow dangler between the tips, needs to be Carbon Fiber, with all the other black-out stuff going on ).

If the GHLs fail to sufficiently reduce my IQ through sonic-cranial compression, I might be looking at SLP with the new tips, which fill the entire cavity rendering an exhaust plate pointless.

I'm trying to be a social modder.

Small steps, Sparks. Small Steps. :*****

Where the HELL is my sponsor?!?!

Well what can I say I at it again Now the mods are getting more expensive so I have slowed dn a bit. I'm having a G5X3 cam put in by ECS next week then it's time to start saving for AFR heads. I may have to squeeze in some tires between the heads and the cam. If I go all out for new rims, that may be the question. I might save the money for the heads. Then last but not last new seat covers from VE. I figure another 8k should do it for me :ack

Hi everyone,

My name is Don.. I dont see what the bid deal is.. My girlfriend doesnt think its normal to buy a car, and have 6 deliveries of parts in the first month. I really dont see what the big deal is. I mean I can stop anytime I want (if that date is after the x-pipe, headers, cam, heads, supercharger, wheels, hood and trunk liners). I mean GM really intended for all these parts on the car, they were just trying to keep the intial purchase price down right? They really meant for us all to buy this stuff... Didnt they?

You're right, Don. I'd say you're perfectly normal and have no problem.

I'll contact the coordinators and make sure they assign you a sponsor. :*****
