I had a nice little mishap with an open nitrous bottle that was not bracketed down. The car suffered damage near the front window roof area. It poked a hole through the headliner, and cracked/smashed some of the fiberglass.
It also put about a 1.5" cut on the top right driver seat, and cut the center console near the left edge. The radio also suffered damage.
Would I be best off taking it to a dealer or to a local shop? I trust the fiberglass can be repaired easy, and be as strong?
What is the best way to deal with/approach state farm? Take a check from them for 1600 (what the told me today) I would imagine?

Take the check and get the work done where you want. I would shop around and see who can do the work you need and do it right. I would not think that a dealer would be a good choice for interior repairs, especially leather/vinyl.
Next time tell her to take her heels off!
Maybe that is what you want to tell your insurance company!

If you're into doing things on your own, my guess is all but the fiberglass can be done by you, and you can take that check and buy parts and go for it.
If you haven't already, check out the installation instructions on forum vendor Vette Essentials site, as they should show the removal of all the pieces you metnion. So, you can just buy replacements and do the install. Here's a link: http://www.vetteessentials.com/instr...tructions.html. The console removal is shown in the instructions describing the emergency brake handle, and the seat instructions show how to remove the various parts of the seat. Or, you might find a decent upholstery shop that can simply repair the seat to your liking.
Lastly, the headliner on the C4 was just glued up with a special 3M spray, so I'm guessing it's the same in the C5. Most fabric stores now sell replacement headliner material. It's just thin colored fabric that is attached to one side of a thin foam sheet. The old one pulls away from the roof and is attached to a backing board. Use it as a template to cut a new one and use the special 3M spray to attach the new one. The 3M spray is also available at the fabric store.
