Hey guys I sold my 97 nassau Coupe to Ls1Push here on the forum today. I actually bought the vette from a forum member last year and sold it to a forum member today which is really cool, trying to keep it in the family if you know what I mean. Monday I pick up my Cobra I know its no vette and the vette has been the best car ive ever had no questions asked. But I need a car I can drive year round here in michigan ( Vette was lowered all the way ) Even tho I will be driving a stang I will still WAVE!!
If anyone is here from Michigan go to the dunkin doughnuts on Telegraph & joy on Friday and saturday nights from 11:30pm - 2am theres always atleat 60 sports car or MORE. Look for a 98 Cobra metallic red with Lambo doors, Back seat partition and a Roll Bar. Give me a holler.
I'm a mustang fan too(grandfather was a ford dealer and have owned 3 stangs in past) so I won't rag on you to bad. Why is stang more drivable than vette up there? I drove one in IN for a winter and it was horrible even with weight in the trunk. Or do mean the terrible road conditions (potholes, etc.) Why a C6 in a year--doubt it will be anymore drivable then stang or C5. Just curious thats all. Good luck with the Cobra--it will be a blast to drive.
I had a '99 Cobra but it didn't do much for me. One of my biggest complaints was the road noise inside the car driving @ 55 or better. I took it in to Ford and they yanked out the rear seat and panels and put in some kind of insulation over the wheel wells. It helped a little bit but not enough to make a difference. My other beef was the basically non-adjustable camber adjustment built-in to the front end. I ended up having to put in an aftermarket camber plate because the camber was wrong and couldn't be adjusted any better. Also, every mustang I drove back then had wiggling going on in the steering wheel @ 55 or better (bad toe adjustment). When I let go of the wheel and showed the sales guy, he looked at it and just shrugged. Ford - Quality Job 1?
