I have the first **** on a Hurst Shifter. I love it. When I shift I wrap my hands around the shifter with thumb on top for more positive control. Stock **** just didn't do it for me.

I have seen adaptors to convert standard shift ***** to work on automatics. Mid America has one:

Its $50 for the adaptor. I am sure with some extra searching, you can find it for a couple bucks cheaper.

I had both on my 97. Didn't really care for the quality of either. The first polished one tarnished and turned almost brown after only three weeks. I sent it back and the replacement did the same thing. Everything I tried to clean it or repolish looked like crap. Wasn't very happy with that :mad The second one I had on less then a week when a large chip in the paint came off. Again, looked like crap :mad I touched it up with some auto touch up paint, but you could still see the big gouge in the **** from the chip of paint missing. I sold my 97 with that one still in it. I got a new flameball for my new 04 Z. A little tacky for some people, but I like it a lot better then the previous two. They look good, that's why I bought them, just POS when it comes to the worksmanship. Just MHO.

I had the plain one and did not like it.

I had it on a Hurst and it ended up just making it taller again and the throw felt like stock.

I'm not a big fan of the attachment - it is just a plastic lining with threads on the outside that you thread down on to the shifter and then screw the **** down on the plastic - or vise versa.

I have the first one and I've had it on my FRC for 2 years. Mine has not tarnished and I like the feel of it. The one complaint I have is that it was hard to get it to stay in a fixed position. I think I paid $49 for it.

I have the Momo 'Carbon Fiber' version. I've had it on for
about a year now. No problems with fit, finish, and function.

A4 too...get the adapter kit, then you can change every
couple of years.
