Local Chevrolet dealership has sent the following: General Motors Incentive Program. Bring in a 95-02 Chevrolet and purchase a 2003 or 2004 Chevrolet, including Corvettes and they will give 100% of the MSRP of your vehicle when it was purchased new. It also seems to include any rebates that might be available. There is a slight catch, there will be a 0.10 - 0.55 cent mileage deduction.
They have a new 2004, Le Mans Blue, A4 with a sticker of $48,900. The MSRP on our 2001 C5 was $41,000. There is also a $4000 rebate. Our C5 just went out of warranty and we were thinking of getting an aftermarket. They were running anywhere from $1,200 to $2,000 and I just saw a horror story on the Corvette Forum
New C5 48,900
minus 4,000 Rebate
minus 41,000 2001 MSRP
plus 3,200 0.10 mileage deduction
My total plus tax/Title = $7,100 for a New C5 and 3 years of Warranty
I have never heard of one of these super specials that was a real deal once they run all the numbers. There's a radio ad in Toledo that advertises they will get you out of your current lease or loan for $1, no matter how much you owe.
Look at it this way. What's your C5 with 32K miles worth wholesale in the Kelly Blue Book or any other good source and what's the best cash deal you can get from a dealer. Figure the difference and you have the real world. I'd say it'll be around $10-11K.
