Closed out Vette Recall
That is what the girl told me today at the Chevrolet Customer Assistance @ 800-222-1020. She did not see any recall number 1044A or 04-006. My 98 Auto is at the Dealer now, she said she'd let me know the outcome on Thursday. I'm learning a lot on the forum here, she started a new file on my car, and I have her direct number and extension. Hope I can get this fixed by GM, was in for the recall 11/02 a few months after I bought it. Now locked up, shows "steering column lock" and the engine dies when put into drive.
I think when this happens to you, then you'll be wanting to fight too for a recall on your vette.

Hey Larry...I just recently had a dealer in the tampa area fix my column lock under the 1044A "customer satisfaction" recall. If you need details or help, PM me...I just went through this whole column lock ficasco mysef not too long ago...Good luck!
