The RPO's should be listed on a tag inside your glove compartment door. I believe Z51 will show up if it was installed on your car. To get all the codes and the cars born on date, get a copy of the build sheet from the Corvette Museum.
I just got my 2001 vette and Im not sure if i have the z51 suspension. Any way to check?
Z51 is the Performance Handling Package which includes the FE3 suspension and Power Steering Cooler. Both RPO codes (Z51 & FE3) should show on the RPO label on your car if you have the Z51 package. To my knowlege, the FE3 suspension for the C5 is only available as part of the Z51 package. This site contains one of the more comprehensive lists of C5 RPO codes that I've seen: C5 RPO Codes
Hope this helps. BTW, welcome to the Forum and congrats on the C5.
If you go into a spirited corner and the car feels like it's on rails and there is almost no body lean, you probably have the Z51 suspension...
To be sure, check the codes as suggested above. However, if the previous owner added Z51 aftermarket parts to the stock suspension(easy to do) it will not appear on the options list, and it is not easy to tell if all or some of the parts were upgraded. True Z51 packages are beefed up springs, shocks and torsion bars plus a power steering cooler
Go to your dealer and ask for a detailed report on your car. They use the GM data base and print out born on date, service report from when the car was new. Mine was about 8-9 pages and is great to have for the scrap book.
Congrats on the new ride by the way. And welcome to the greatest forum on the net for learning about your car.
