OOH YEAH and I are headed to Norris Motorsports' new location in the wee hours tomorrow AM so he can get a dyno tune-up. (He thinks he'll be able to beat my 00 A4 with his 01 M6 afterwards.)
Anyhooo......Somehow, golf clubs are being placed in the back of these C5s as a testament of their storage ability, and while Mike is reving up OOH YEAH's engine, we're going to flail away and set some golf ***** free as part of our environmental enlightenment commitment to GM.
Anyone else wanna play???????? Then we can tour Mikes new shop, too. Please let me know ASAP if you wanna play Vette golf as I need to set a tee time. Oh yeah, OOH YEAH shoots in the 70s. I shoot no matter what the temperature is.

I just set a tee time at Orlando Central National's Panther Lake course for 8:50 tomorrow AM. $48.00 and that includes lunch. OOH YEAH and I plan to hit Norris' at 7:30.
But ya can't dance in the sand traps like that anymore.

Join us.....it will be a hoot. I guarantee!!!!!!!
Panther lake is a pretty tough course from what I hear...
...the 1hr ++ drive that way through Orlando rush hr may quash the deal...
...but I'll try to make it there...if for no other reason than to make it to you for sending the picture
So do you shoot from gold tees ?...and was the 70's score on the front or the back 9

I shoot from the shortest tees I can without wearing a skirt. Golf is like Corvettes - I've got several bags full of mods (clubs) but the score stays the same. John (OOH YEAH) is a long ball hitter.
Actually, I can hit a ball 300+ yards - it just takes me two strokes to do it.
Try to make it if you can. Their website has several routes to get there that are off the dreaded I-4. Or meet us at Mike's.
From Downtown Orlando, Daytona Beach, and Points Northeast on Interstate 4:
•From I-4, take SR 408 (East -West Expressway) West to Florida's Turnpike.
•Go North on FL Turnpike, 1 mile to exit 267A (429 South).
•Take 429 South, 2.5 miles to CR 535 (Winter Garden Vineland Rd)
•Go straight on StoneyBrook Parkway, 2 miles to CR 545 / Avalon Road.
•Go South (left) on CR 545 6.5 miles to Orange County National on your left.

Hey, guys, from the cool and foggy coast of Maine - where the golf courses are all waterlogged right now - hit a couple straight for me! Enjoy, sounds like a blast. Just a little too long drive for one morning.

Hey Pastorbrad! We'll do our best. The forecast here in sunny Florida is partly cloudy followed by a hurricane but we should be OK on the downwind holes.
Sorry ya can't make this one, but maybe we can turn this into a CF golf outing for members from other states. Florida has a few zillion golf courses and we play year round. (There's always the NCRS show in Orlando and/or the Eckler's Reunion's that could be reasons to travel down here, and there is always Mickey Mouse, too.)
This has proven great as I'll get to meet two CF members in person that I've enjoyed chatting with on the Forum.
Wish I could break away to at least see Mike's new shop. Let us know the results of the work!
Not sure we want to see the golf results but some pics would be great!!
What a great segue to a potential thread hijacking question: What's the latest on the Ecklers cruise?
Have fun down there while the rest of us toil away....
STUZVETTE and I-SPEED are joining us so it will be a good time to try to pick a date for that, too. I'll let ya know Friday. BTW there is a cruise Friday nite here in JAX, too if you're interested. NFCA site has the details.
I am sorry guys I cannot go. I even went to the local course and played the back nine to get ready. I had a late call in at work and I did not get home to 5:00 am eastern. I would like to go this weekend though...any takers? central florida?

...wondered what happen to you...
I met up with them at Norris who tuned John's red hot and as an after thought...on the way back per his request, Mike lowered his vette and inch...
His vette is a beauty! and Jim and his cool pewter and John and I went to Panther Lake...What a course!
It was a great time with Cajun2kc5 and OOH YEAH
I just called Mike back to schedule a Stage II clutch and tune
All in all, this was an expensive day

Starting with cones strewn on I-95S by the State's perpetual road "workers" that created a very high speed slalom in the dark, followed by me foolishly trying to keep up with STUZVETTE's Lingenfelter blown rocket through some great twisties that resulted in cell phones and radios flying around in my car (OK I wasn't expecting an autocross to the golf course) and my radio winding up somewhere around the pedals while OOH YEAH continues to try to call me. Who knows where my cell phone wound up after that descinding radius 180 at speed????
Great Corvette drives, great time on the course with good people, and OOH YEAH picks up bunches of extra HP and gets his car lowered to boot.

While the rest of the world "toiled away" WE had a blast...
...Mike, who wanted to see my hood...took pictures at his shop...
John gave me a look at how quick his vette has become on the way home...WOW
Im so impressed, I asked Mike this afternoon to tune mine
John and Jim are real gentleman and I really appreciate Jim bringing us together for a great time, great weather, great lunch...
Here we are at the First Tuner Golf Tour from the left is Stu, John, Jim at Panther Lake golf Course...in Winter Garden FL
...BTW JOHN is the real golfer
Man what fun, corvettes, golf, and great weather. The car is running awesome, nowhere near the power Stuart has under his hood though. If any one wants to see a real sweet machine you must take a look at Stuarts vette. He has done it right, it is a great ride! I really had a blast today and looking forward to meeting and playing golf again. Cajun thanks for going I can't believe how fast we got home. Oh by the way I am ready to race again. Thanks again Mike the car is running better then she ever has.
