How much weight does a Header system add?

Just out of curiosity, if you add kooks or LG Long tongtube headers, how much weight do they add versus the stock header system? Anybody know?

From: My tolerance for stupidity is at an all time low.

I don't know, but I would guess that most header systems are actually lighter than the cast iron manifolds.

That was my assumption but then again, they have more piping than the stock headers. Maybe someone from LG or Kooks will see this and answer back.

Maybe Chris at ECS can answer that question for ya Alex. When my TPIS LT headers were installed, I noticed that they were lighter than the steel manifolds when Chris showed me them before he installed them.

headers weight apprx 20 lb less,,,,maybe more if you use after market cats

Stock cast iron manifolds 32 lbs with heat shields. Most headers are around 28 lbs.
