I got caught in a heavy rainstorm yesteday, and my 99 vert was leaking big time. It was leaking from the drivers side at the top of the pillar post. Any fixes, other then drive in the rain, thanks Jim.
>>I've had Verts of all kinds over the years and I think that its the nature of the beast! <<
Boy I hope not, I'm in the market for 98, 99 Vert now. My 2000 Mustang Vert daily driver has never leaked. I would think a C5 should be a least as good as a Ford.
It rained soo bad yesterday here in Miami that when I got in the car the next morning it smelled soo bad. I had to put the top down on my way to work to let out the smell alittle. It is so frustrating. I have been using silicon grease to patch up the leaks. It worked in stopping the leaks from the passenger side, but there is one still on the drivers side that eludes me. I will eventually find the leak and seal it, but I just wanted you to know that your not the only one.
Rain doesn't make it leak, but running it through a carwash gives me a good soaking. When I know I'm going to hit a carwash I'll bring along two towels and shut the windows with them up in the tops
Would love to figure out how to fix that, might try the adjustments from the link above.
No leak here. Also, my neighbor has a '99 triple black vert with no leaks. If the weather seal is in good shape, adjustment may be needed to fix the problem. Good luck with the fix.
