Default Something really weird!

I just had my 98 into the dealership to repair it's "stuck column lock." They took out the pin and put in a CLB. When I got the car home it has been acting really strange. I turned the passive off on my key remote and yet the car continues to lock itself on and off without my pushing any buttons. Then the remote will stop working altogether over and over again after I reset it. I had talked to someone here in LV that was telling me that they are having problems with the satellites in Vegas that run the remotes. Someone that works with cell phones confirmed this. So, my question is - is this something to do with when they repaired my steering column - or is it something to do with the frequency?

And, when I got my car home, I have a sub wolfer in the trunk that stopped working? Is any of this connected? Help??? Already put this on the tech side and not getting any response.

They had to disconnect the battery so you'll probably have to retrain most things. If your speaker became disconnected in the process - I'd make them hook that back up.

Hope this helps.

I'm not sure what you mean by "satellites that run the remotes". C5's do not have Onstar which is the only way I know of that a satellite signal could unlock/lock the doors.

Not only that your posts are multiplying all be themselves and spreading all over the forum. One in Tech and one in General, next your car will think it is a Z06, is forsale and is parting itself out.
