After the first year my drivers seat developed a black smear. I think it was caused by an article of clothing; a black belt.
Dealer replaced the seat cover under warranty. I then bought the diver material covers and the seats have been covered ever since. Now getting sick of the add-on covers and want to get rid of them.
Has anyone else had problems with the red leather seats?
i think any color will transfer to the otehr colors, except for maybe the black ones haha. red, gray, oak, all those colors can be marred by something on them. my parents old cadillac had to have a section replaced because of a black shirt my dad wore that faded onto the tan seats. any dark or bright colored clothing item can transfer to the lighter or bright seats. just a common fact, just use caution and be careful.
Had red leather seats in the 88 Coupe and replaced them at 100 K miles but the wear was not unusual. Have red leather seats in the 96 Coupe and with 57 K miles on the ODO the seats are performing as expected with no unusual appearences. And on the 2004, there is 5500 miles and the seats are still like new.
My 01 had red guts (sport seats) with about 30,000 miles when it went to Corvette heaven. I think they showed less wear with 30K than my Mod Red Z seats do with 14K. ????
