I know, I know, this has been posted a thousand times, but I've done a search and still have the same questions. I'm wiring my flameball and everyone I've talked to said thiers came with two splice wire connections. I got the high powered LED and it came with one splice and a ground wire. So I used the directions everyone else here has posted, spliced into the orange wire on the traction control and grounded the other. Now the light is on all the time. I thought the orange wire was supposed to be the switched light power for the TCH? Apparently not, it must be the power to the TCH itself. I also remeber seeing people mention the brown and white wire. I have two. Is one of these the switched light power to the TCH? Any quick responses much appreciated!!

The black FB wire with the white stripe goes on the brown wire with the white stripe that is right next to the orange wire. The black FB wire goes to the orange wire. Remember that it is hooked up to the interior lights and won't go out until they do.

Thanks for looking for me glass, but still no go. I'm assuming your assmebly came with two splice connectors? (one on each wire) I got the high power LED and it only came with one splice connector (the black w/ white stripe) and one gound connector, you know the little terminal with a hole to ground a screw through, that one is on the black wire. The directions that came with my ball say and I quote "the new led system mut be wired with the stripped wire as hot, hook up your ground terminal near your quick splice clamp, making sure the metal is bare. clamp the quick splice wire onto the parking light wire." So like I said first grounded the wire on the radio bracket, then I wired the "hot wire, white stripped" to the orange and I got a constant light (at least it works). I then tried what you said, spliced it on the brown wire with white stripe located next to the orange wire and nothing (and yes I did turn on the lights ) Just a bit confused because everyone else seemed to get a different wiring set up then me. Any one out there get the one I'm talking about and wire it? I'm assuming it's because I got the high power LED. I guess us Florida folk are slow
Thanks for any help!!
P.S. the flameball looks great, just installed my new Hurst shifter and the flameball, just wish I could get the light working right so I can see it at night!
Well I'm going to buy a couple new quick connectors and wire it like you guys have yours. Screw the flameball directions!
We'll see if I can get it to work.
I just received my Flameball and noticed the same thing, one wire has an eye on the end for the ground and one hase a splice connector. All of the install guides that I have seen show two splices not one.

OK Guys, here's my guess. I am not going out to check it though. One of the wires that we're telling you to use is always hot, but the voltage turns down with the dash adjustment. The other wire is grounded only when the lights are turned on. I'm no elektrix fizzisist , but that could be the answer. Here is a link to the instructions that I used to wire up my flameball. The instructions work for both the light bulb and the LED type lights. Hope this makes it easier. http://www.fixedroofcoupe.com/howtod...eball&pages=10

Thanks for the tips glass, unfortunately I did exactly what I was told and I'm still only able to get a solid light, no switch with interior lights, so much for doing what I was told
