Default Camaro graduate... please help

I just traded a 2000 ss convertible for a 1997 torch red coupe (my first vette). I'm beginning to wonder why. the air conditioning is coming from the defrost, the face vents and the foot vents all at once no matter what you choose on the computer... any suggestions ?? I've got the upgraded chrome 5 stars which are pitted and stained. I don't think I can get them clean. Any wheel trade in programs for new 5 stars ?? whats the difference between oem and aftermarket wheels other than about a $2,000.00 difference ?? I could go on with more tech. issues but I digress... please help. thanks, Adam P.

ive got a 97 torch red coupe, i had the wagon wheels on it. go on ebay, and search for "AFS Wheels" they have some good stuff. I bought a set of 18" ZO6 wheels from them for $640.00! (with shipping it came to $720.00, but VERY nicely packed!) Tires were another story....all i can say is to buy Kumho, lot less $$$

Good luck and welcome to the club!!!

(p.s. i upgraded from a camaro vert too, the vette to WAY beter )

1. I'd 1st look for a disconnected vacuum line under the dash that controls a flapper valve in the air ducting.
2. Disconnect the line and pull a vacuum on the valve to see if the diaphram is busted.
3. Do you have the polished 5-spoke wheels? These wheels are painted with a clearcoat. If they are stained, they probably want to get them stripped and polished. Search this forum for polishing/restoring wheels. You'll find DIY instructions or a service provider to send them to. You'll find lots of help here.
4. Get the service manuals from HELM publications or someone like Ken Fitchner Chevy (about $125). They're invaluable.

Welcome to the forum! I think you'll start liking the Vette very soon.
