I trimmed an inch off of the inner and outer air dams. I also installed a set of Fangs. Doesn't sounds like the front end of the car is getting torn off anymore, which is nice.

It was easier just taking them off.

Removing air dam not a good idea.

This information is somewhat incorrect or misleading at least with my experience on my c5 the air dam IS necessary in order to maintain cool engine temperatures ESPECIALLY when driving on freeway speeds. I have noticed that in town driving does not matter temperature wise will remain somewhat the same depending on the outside ambient temperature but nevertheless the air dam is needed to cool engine temperature while freeway driving guaranteed for my c5 anyway. plus I live in Central Calif where ave temp is 95 during summer.
