What effect will something like head and cam package have on the resale values of C5's?? (or C6 in future generations) This would be installed by a good mechanic. Not a crazy expensive package but something of quality.

Just me, but, a modded car is an indication the car has been run hard. I tend to buy sports cars new. The depreciation is a killer, but you know how the car has been treated.
Take a look at the number of questions on the Forum related to problems getting the car to run right after some mod, it doesn't give me a warm feeling as to the knowledge of the mechanic or the quality of the product/installation.
Also, take a look at the number of questions on the Forum where the answer is in the Owner's Manual. Or the number of Forum questions related to major repairs/moddifications where it is obvious the "mechanic" is working sans Service Manual.
For these reasons, mods put up a red flag to me. I'm sure other folks will strongly disagree.
How will you sell the car? Trade-in? If so, then just talk to a dealer, they should be able to give you an indication of what kind of car they are looking for.

Generally speaking....
Any mods you put on your vette is lost money....you will never get the money back, especially if the new prospective buyer does not care for the mods.
I don't know if I agree w/ mapman.....If someone is looking to get the same mods put on anyway....then it might add some value, but you will be narrowing your scope on buyers for your specific auto.
Most guys take their mods off and return to stock before selling.....this will ensure your mod money is not totally up in smoke....
I just got my Vette and sold my Rustang with Mod's.... The people looking at the Stang ALL asked the same question.... "Can it be put back to stock?" And... all that Mod money went down the drain. No one was willing to pay a penny for any of it.
Regardless of what anyone says, it will increase the value, but limits your pool of buyers. Even better is documented proof of low miles with mods. When you resell you just need to find a buyer who wants to do those same mods to the car, you will get maybe 30-40 percent of your money spent on Mods back plus the cars cost.
