It just has a two wire plug-in into the wiring harness.

It's a little tough to locate, as it is way down on the bottom of the radiator shroud on the passenger side. Once you find it, you will have a long reach to get to it. As stated earlier, its a simple plug in. Its also really cheap: about $8 from a dealer.

Here is the hint for locating the sensor: lay down in front of the car and look up into the radiator scoop. On the very bottom of the passenger side you will see a little cut-out through the shroud with a small black tip sticking through. That is the tip of the temp sensor. Now you know where it is!

Easy to do once you get to it. Follow the instructions above and you can do it yourself.

Default Ambiant Temp Sensor

It's not bad to change , you just need long arms.
I replaced mine a month ago.
Easier from top than bottom.

Don't expect it to be accurate. It will read accurate ambient temps say in your garage but not on the road when the pavement is hot. Expect it to read high in the summer 5-10 degrees.

It's better than 58 degrees F, not allowing the climate control to function properly.

Ahhh.. but there are two different sensors that do that job..
(carpet near Passenger, and the slots next to the ignition.)

Anyway thanks for replying gang, I need to do this to mine and picked it up from Fred Beans today!
