Performance Handling Package? TC? AH?
Hello all, new poster here. I'm in the market for a ’98 or ’99 Vert and have posted over on the For Sale forum but first time in here.
Anyway, please forgive me if this has been discussed somewhere here on the forum already as I searched and came up empty. What exactly does the “Performance Handling Package” include?
Also, can a ’98 Vert have both Traction Control and Active Handling? It was my understanding that it could have TC but not AH as it was not available at that time.
The Z51 performance handling package includes stiffer springs, shocks, larger dia swaybars, and also a power steering cooler I believe.
Traction Control was standard on all C5's.
Active Handling (skid control) was an option from 98-2000, and became standard on the 2001/newer cars.
Yes, it's possible to have both on a 98...there were approx 5,350 98's built with the AH option.
