[Z06] Speedometer off ???

Speedometer off ???

I have noticed that when I set my cruise that the DIC will show " Cruise set 60 MPH" and the HUD will show 60 MPH but the regular speedo will show 59. I have noticed this at all speeds that is is about 1 MPH off most of the time. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have noticed that mine is off 1 mph between the gauges. It might be that the speed is 59.5 so the speedo shows 59, but the HUD and DIC show 60 (rounding issue) - though I have no way of proving this...

You guys can't be serious. 1 MPH off (maybe) and you are worried. Why not go to the dealer for a new speedo and see what they say?

Life is too short to worry about non-important things like this.

I have contacted the dealer and they haven't heard of this problem. I didn't have this problem with my 02 I had and if I paid this kind $$ for a car, I want everything to work right, LOL

The user manual states that there can be a difference of several MPH/KMH between what the DIC says the cruise is set at and what the speedo reads. It's normal.

BTW: I have checked the speedo of a stock '01 Z on OEM F1s with a Garmin GPS V and the speedo is spot on. At various speeds between 30MPH and 140MPH (on a track) the speedo has no more than 0.5MPH error. (I was reading this in KMH at the time).

My 01 is off in the opposite direction.
The speedo shows 81 and the DIC says 80.
I could care less. I just want the cruise to work
when I need to rest my knee on long trips!
