[Z06] Headers/xpipe...optimal size??

Headers/xpipe...optimal size??
Hey everyone, I joined the ZO6 ownership ranks 2 weeks ago and have been searching through the site trying to collaberate as much useful information as possible on several different aspects of the car.
I'm a modaholic.....and I'm currently looking into a set of Kook's LT's and their matching off-road x-pipe. My question is: Will going with the 1 7/8" with a 3" catless x be a poor choice if I were to stay N/A? I'm not 100% sure if F/I is in or out of the question, but I just wanted to get everyone's opinion on sizes/application.
What I'm trying to avoid is going the 1 3/4 route with a 3" x and then being to restrictive in the event a charger goes on...But will going 1 7/8 with a 3" x hurt the car's overall N/A performance??
