Default Z06 Ti exhaust

Compared to a muffler bypass system, how does it sound on an LS1? Louder? More burble? I have extreme tugboat idle with the bypass!

I'm wondering if I should:

A. Buy the Z06 Ti exhaust or,
B. Buy an x-pipe and Corsa tips

About the same price either way just wonderin' what you guys think.

You can aquire a Z06 Ti catback from a forum member for less than $450.00 if you keep a sharp eye out. I love the Z06 exhaust. It's the best mod for the money and it weighs almost half as much as stock.

I had two other exhausts on mine, one with the A&A mod, a set of SLP Loudmouths, and of course stock, but I like my Ti the best.

I have the ti exhaust and love it.

Seems ti is every where now days, including my eye glass frames and watch. Weight does make a difference, now if I could only loose 10 lbs arround my middle.

As far as sound goes, I have an x-pipe and that makes a difference, but I like the deep purr of the ti at idle (I get lots of compliments on how good she sounds) and the growl at WOT. Much more subtle than my old C4, which is what I'm after on this classy black on black C5.

I just installed the Z06 Ti exhaust which I picked up from a guy on the forum, I love the way it sounds. Much better than the stock LS1 exhaust, just a little louder at idle, and growls real nice at WOT like others have said. It does burble at idle a little but that does not bother me, it sounds great. If you want it a lot louder than stock go with something else. I imagine with headers later on down the road (more Mod money) this will be perfect. A little steel wool and mothers metal polish and they will look brand new. At half the price and weight of other systems you can't beat it. Just find someone with a lift to put them on.

I don't know why so many Z owners are dumping their stock Ti systems. I happen to really like it. It sounds mean, but not annoying and it's just about the lightest thing on the market. Also, most of the aftermarket systems don't add anything performance wise.

If I had a Coupe or Vert and wanted something more agressive sounding, it would be hard for me now to want to pick up the Ti system off of a Z.

$400+ for just slightly louder sound and lighter weight?
There's absolutely no performance gains with Z06 Ti exhaust??

After putting on the Ti I am 100% satisfied. If I put on headers I will not have too much to worry about concerning the exhaust note (volume)

I just replaced my Bullets with a forum members Ti system. Wife was pleading with me to make the hurt stop

I have the magna x-pipe which makes the system almost too quiet, but for now, that is a good thing.

Of course, now I hear all the road noise and the radio. Thanks to IwantmyC5 for offering to swap. Not sure he wanted to get as dirty as he ended up getting though

I think Rob was pretty happy with the noise his car makes now...
