Default Change interior color????

Has anyone changed their black interior to the mod red? If so, how much did it cost. I see the seats for sale, but what about all the other red parts that would need to be changed to make it look factory? My car has 2k miles on it, I wonder if anyone would be interested in swapping all the black parts including seats for all the mod red parts and seats? Anybody interested?

I was ready to change my interior to the mod red. Got a price of $1600 for all gm parts needed door panels, glove box, seat covers, kick plate cover. Than went to see a vehicle at a dealership just to make sure that’s what I wanted. When I looked at it I wasn’t that impressed. I think the black looks much better.

a while ago, there was a thread about how many Z's had the mod red interior and it appears less than 20%. I happen to have a black Z with the mod red interior and prefer the mod red only because the exterior being black with an all black interior seemed to me to be a bit bland. Everyone has their own preferences as to what looks best for their own particular reasons, so to each their own.

Glove box, knee bolster and doors you can dye with the vinyl dye, I used the Corvette America product and was quite pleased with the results. Another chap on the forum used the same stuff and did his interior parts, all but the seats of course, he posted he ws pleased with the results also. I had Ken King do my seats for me, but there are some Mod red sears floating around.

mmmm...mod red

not as common as you'd think! and yes it looks AWESOME!!!

it's also the main reason i'm driving my new z! if they offered it in a 'vert or a coupe, i'd have gone that route, but it wasn't, so oh well!

I didn't care for it. Too much red for my tastes and I thought that it highlighted the cheapness of the interior. Hey.. That's just me though. I do have red in my interior now. My harness belts are red.

I've seen guys swap mod red parts for black interior parts. Guys that bought the car second hand and didn't care for the mod red and wanted to swap it out. I don't think it's that common though unfortunately for those that want to do it.
