70 next month. Bought first Vette, a 1957, in 1958. The thing got 12 mpg and required new plugs every 3,500 miles, due to lead deposit build up. Paid $2,700 for it. No A/C, of course, but did have a power operated convertable top. It was a great looking car.
Hey! Great to see another old-timer. The '57 was a neat car for the time. Champion J12Y's were the only plug I could find that would last any time. Oil past the valve guides was also a problem. Wish I had it now.

I'm 52 years old and on my 1st Vette purchased 2 months ago. Had to wait 41 years since I saw my first Stingray and fell in love with it to get one...When younger, insurance payments would have been more than the car payments...then had 2 kids and some of you know what that does to the paycheck...
I see that with the new format very few people put the Bdays, just wondered if its because you dont want people on here to know your age or if you just overlooked that?
27 yrs old here
24 yrs old when i bought my dream car (94 LT-1 MN6).....just sold her for a triple black C5 MN6
Oh what a night, born late December back in '63. Makes me 40 for 5 more months. Bought my first Vette about a month ago. Have been told that it is my mid-life crisis car. Call it whatever you like its the best lookin' car I've ever had!
23 in 3 weeks. first vette and i'm never parting with it, only adding to the fun...of course i think it will be a while with that whole buying a house/starting a family stuff i hear you are supposed to do at some point.....

Oldtimer
I'm 58 and a 2 time cancer survivor. My Vette cruisin' buddies run in ages from 27 on up and it seems like when you own a Corvette age does not make a difference.
In the '03 Chevvy "big book" that the delers use for all the spec's and options, it says the median age for new Corvette buyers is 48. I turn 48 next month, so my timing was perfect to buy my first new Vette!
I'll be 49 next April, which will put me out of the average age bracket - Should I go ahead and place my order for a C6 before my 49th? I love my C5......... decisions-decisions
