Column Lock Recall - Column Lock Removal?
Just recieved the Column Lock Recall notice on my 2000 C5 (automatic). Letter says the dealership will "remove" the column lock feature. Seems that this will make it easier to steal my C5. I think the colume lock should be replaced with one that works. Is this just another way for GM to "walk on water" and take a dump on thier customers.

they are using the automatic lock in the tranny for theft prevention..If someone wants your car, they will get it.The A4's 01 and above have the lock removed, just like the recall is going to do.
