Default Question regarding mounting new wheels.

I am looking at buying a set of chrome wheels for my 99. Will most likely buy from a forum vendor. I went down to my local chevy dealer and asked if they would be able to put them on for me. I was told that they weren't sure they could, due to special equipment needed to ensure the wheels would not be marred or damaged. Asked me if the wheels would have some kind of plastic on them.
What are they talking about?

Basically they're idiots. Go to any high end wheel store (there's got to be a thousand of them specializing in "bling, bling" down here) and they'll hook you right up. They put on these expensive wheels all day long! Good luck and you'll love the look of the chromies!

Default rims

Noel is 100% right, don't waste time asking Chevy dealer questions. Was at the Goodyear store Saturday putting new tires on wife's Venture Van and just started to ask tech and manager about 18' rims and run flats and they told me only "special "Goodyear stores do those. So take Noel advice and find a specialty tire store who knows what they are doing. Good Luck.Save the Wave.>George

Yeah, it is kinda what I figured. Was hoping that since they service and sell vettes, they would be the ones to know about such things.

What about the sensor? What kind of things should I be asking concerning them?

Thanks,
Mike

Its looks like you have thought of everything, be sure they are aware of the sensors before they break down your current setup, you may want talk to the technican directly.
