I'm fairly new to the forum as I just bought my 97 A4 about 3wks ago. I really enjoyed hanging out...lots of fun and knowledge. Unfortunately a lady parked her Yukon Denali XL in my car yesterday morning. I had come to almost a complete stop as a couple of cars were turning right when out of the blue this lady never hits the brakes and rearends me at about 50mph (I'm guessing). The cops arrested her for wreckless endangerment. I guess I'm lucky to be alive! I will post pics if I ever figure out how. Hopefully I'll have another one someday.
Sorry to hear about that. Glad that you're not seriously injured. Hopefully insurance will do its job and you can be in another Vette soon. There's plenty of great deals on them right now, even 97 A4 Corvettes just like yours. Good luck and hope to see you posting about your new Corvette soon.
That is so sad. I'm very sorry to hear this but I am VERY happy to hear you were not seriously injured. That must have been horrible in so many different ways.
Best of luck to you and here's hoping you are back in a vette very soon.

If she hit you @ 50mph as you say, you have no pain????
Don't get me wrong - I am NOT suggesting for one moment that you should trump up some imaginary ache or pain, but I further assume that you have been thoroughly checked out medically. The point is don't be too quick to sign a release on the property damage settlement, before you are positive that you are not going to have any medical bills.
Some insurance companies will dangle a check in front of a claimant's face as a carrot to sign a full and final release. Once you endorse the check, you might be releasing the insurance company from any further liability.
All I'm saying - is make sure you're ready for a full and final settlement.
I ended up with some staples in the back of my head...other than that just sore as hell. From the pics I got it looked like somebody might have died. The Yukons front wheels were just about on top of my rear wheels with her front bumper slightly into my cockpit. It looked like I was dollying that monster around!
wow...i would definately like to see pics to see how it holds up in a rear-end collision like that seeing as how i am always on I95 and people can't drive
Let me guess she was chatting on her cell phone :mad Sorry to hear about the car, glad your ok. Let the insurance take care of it. Like many said there are a lot of great deals on 97's right now. I just sold mine for 18k. Don't write yourself off as a vette owner just yet. Glad your alright!

Good luck, and sorry for your loss.......
Go to a Doctor to make sure you don't have whiplash. You may have more injury than you realize right now. I'd , also, recommend an attorney.
Damn that sucks!! Post some pics when you can. The insurance should cover everything and hopefully you'll be back in a C5 in no time. Assuming you still want a C5?
I agree, don't rush into a settlement. The adjuster will be after you to settle in a hurry and release them from liability. Check your state laws, in most states I think you have two years to settle any medical either short or long term. Take care of yourself and make sure you are okay. I am still settling after a year on an accident my daughter was in...
