Default Climate control panel

The display on my climate control panel is dimmer than the display on my radio. Anyway to adjust the brightness? Also can anyone provide a born on date for 1G1YY32G815118687? Thanks

I have good news and bad news. The good news is the ac will work without the display. The bad news is the only way to correct it is to buy a new display. Yep, I have the same problem and I posted exactly what you did about 2 months ago.

If someone know how much a display cost for the ac please let us know.

It will get dimmer over time, until you can't read it anymore. Sometimes thumping the display helps.. but not for long. Mine is almost completely out on my '99. Corvettes of Houston said they have to replace the entire unit $350 + $70 installation. Soooo.. I asked them if GM ever "fixed" the issue and they said "no". I guess it is looking like we'll have to replace our A/C control units every few years in the tune of $420+ each time.

Nice.
