50th top damage
I hate to write this. I'm still angry. On June 2, 2004 I loaded my 50th Aniv. convertable and started my trip from South Jersey to the Seattle, Wa. area (more spacificaly, Enumclaw). I stayed in the area for one month. Then on June 31 I took off for Bryan, Texas. I spent the night of July 2 at the El Rancho Hotel, Motel in Gallup, NM. At about 5:30am, my telephone rang. It was the manager telling me to come to the front desk, my car had been damaged.
Some ******* sliced (7) my top and headliner. 2 holes were 3 corner ell shaped. They even poked though the side curtain and put 7 holes in the seat(driver lean back). The cost $4000 the repair.

It took a whole roll of duct tape to get me to Bryan.
There was another C5 convertable in the parking lot, he also got cut.

Man, I feel bad for you. What the heck is wrong with people? You just can't have anything nice anymore. I'm a wreck anytime I drive one of my nice cars anywhere. People are jerks sometimes. I guess these vandels aren't smart enough to realize they pay for damages by higher prices on everything they buy. It just makes me sick to my stomach when I read about stuff like this or cars getting keyed.

just don't get the need for some people to do this. Why do they have to damge something people work so hard for and take care of?In my town last week 3 teens in a car with a baseball bat decide to drive around smashing side view mirrors. The got over a 100 cars. My next door neighbor got his smashed on his Pontiac Grand Prix, as well as a few others down the street. Thank goodness my new Vette has a garage to stay in and is not out on the street. I would have popped a blood vessel or something if it got smashed, probably would have passed out if I had a vert roof slashed
. BTW the cops caught the kids doing it. Lucky for them I guess since it was not an angry victim who probably would have taken a bat to them.

I'm so sorry you had this experience. I think it's jealousy. They go through life thinking that everyone "owes" them something. They want to "get back" at those that have.
