I just bought a 97 coupe which obviously hasn't been taken care of like I would have liked. On the passengers side water won't drain out of the hatch area. I would guess that there's a drain tube in there that's clogged up. If this is the problem, what all do I have to take apart to clean this out? Is it accessable from the inside or do I have to take a body pannel of?

I don't know exactly where the drain tube is located but I would want to remove the outer body panel. I think your best bet would be to jack the car up and remove the rear wheel and inner fender liner to get at the drain.

I would think that you could see the drain after taking the fender liner out. At lease I hope that would be the case if you went to that much trouble. Good luck.

There is no drain tube... water runs down the hatch channel to the opening from that opening is just drops straight down, and exits at the rocker...
you should be able to just unclog the drain with a pipe cleaner or some air... if you need to see how it works just remove the inner wheel well.
8 body bolts..
