Default Is the outside air temperature sensor

a simple unsnap and then replace and then snap back on or is there more to it? I see it all the way down on the right side of the air box. I just don't want to undo something only to find out I needed a special tool to put it back together.

Anyone have a dealer replace it? If so, the cost please.

They are replacing my Dual AC Head Unit (it's under warranty) next Monday morning. Thank God for extended warranties. The temperature sensor was about 8 degrees off most all the time so now seems like a good time to fix that also.

Thanks in Advance

I think it just plugs in once you pull the male/female connection apart. But Im not certain. Mine went out last year, I could not find the sensor (it had come loose and wasnt in its clip). I took it to a shop that works on vettes. One half of the connector was bad so they spliced a new one on. It cost me $8.00 for the sensor part and $22.00 for the pigtail connection plus $40.00 for them to install it.

It just snaps in place, but there is a 30 cent black push pin to push through the holes Very easy fix.

Yep. That's pretty much it.

1] Disconnect the ambient air temperature sensor electrical connector.

2] Remove the push-in retainer securing the ambient air temperature sensor to the lower RH side of the radiator support.

3] Remove the ambient air temperature sensor from the radiator support.

Installation Procedure

Important
The ambient air temperature sensor must be orientated so that the sensor probe end is inboard and the electrical connector is outboard.

1] Install the ambient air temperature sensor to the lower radiator support.

2] Install the push-in retainer to secure the ambient air temperature sensor to the radiator support.

3] Connect the ambient air temperature sensor electrical connector.
